Growing up I was always into art; painting, drawing, photography, you name it! As a kid, although I loved art, I never thought I would become a full time artist! 

The custom shoe movement has grown in popularity over the last several years and has no shortage of fans, especially kids! It is important to me to inspire the next generation of artists and encourage them to dream big! 

This 2 hour virtual class goes over some of the basics of painting your very own custom shoes! Since this is a kids class, you they will be following along as we paint a cartoon themed shoe as shown . They are free to add their own spin to it by choosing colors, adding their name, and maybe even small shapes!

I have put quite a bit of thought into how to make shoe painting a kid friendly experience. I have adjusted the cirriculum of this class to give kids a general knowledge of the custom process while also keeping the tasks age appropriate. 

That being said, your kid will need help during the prep portion and finisher portion of this class as we have to use acetone to get the shoes ready for paint and aerosols to finish them. These portions must be done by a parent for safety purposes. 

In addition to avoiding potentially dangerous parts of customizing (knives, airbrushing, etc), I have adjusted the required materials for class to include more budget friendly options. I dont think everyone needs to purchase a stencil cutter, leather paints, etc… This class will allow your kid to get the experience without a HUGE investment into the craft!

All skill levels are welcome and with only about 10 people per class, your kid will be able to work alongside Jada and ask questions!

After you have signed up for the class Jada will email you with a list of required and optional materials for class along with Amazon links to the products! (Roughly $60)

What Shoes can I Use ?

Because this is a beginner class you should provide your own new or barely worn pair of shoes.  I suggest Air Force 1s, Jordan 1s, leather dunks, or blazers.(roughly $100-130). However, because this is your kids first time painting shoes I would recommend getting a pair of white leather shoes from Walmart or Amazon to save some money until they develop their skills a little more. If you’d like to use another type of shoe feel free to reach out to make sure!

Tickets will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Classes are limited to around 10 people each to ensure everyone receives valuable time with Jada. 

If for some reason you need to cancel your booking, you may request a full refund up to 7 days before the class. If you cancel less than 7 days before class you will only get 50% refund. 

After booking your spot you will receive an email with a list of all the materials that are required, as well as a few optional items! (*note that the class DOES NOT provide the materials, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for getting them before class)
